The Plantinum Team, led by the C.E.O, Olayinka Edu, visited the Alara of Ilara Epe (TELADE IV), Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo, and members of his cabinet.

Olayinka Edu, while speaking appreciated the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his Special Adviser on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Bonu Solomon, for taking the Entertainment Industry into an enviable height.

Further establishing the reason for the visit, she introduced her project “Queen of IBILE Pageant, Awards & Reality”, which aims to redefine contemporary pageantry, empower the girl child, educate and promote Tourism, Arts and Culture in Lagos State and beyond. The project being community based seeks to debunk the popular notion of Lagos as a ‘No Man’s Land’ but as an Indigenous state with rich cultural values. Moreover, the feminine gender (Sisi Eko) encompasses a woman who is patriotic, resourceful, optimistic, self-confident and dependable.

Lagos is placed on a platter as a tourist haven to be savoured and possibly tasted. The five (5) strategically positioned Administrative Divisions within the states are pierced through the eyes of several culturally industrious housemates. The acronym, IBILE, captures the five (5) administrative divisions of Lagos City: Ikeja, Badagry, Ikorodu, Lagos and Epe.

The Alara of Ilara Epe and his cabinet members appreciated the team’s visit and their project, commending them for their laudable effort in ensuring that the rich cultural values of Lagos gains ground in the modernised world.

As captured in the words of Oba Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo; “idea’s rule the world, and a meritorious concept will change the viewpoint of tourism in Nigeria and Africa at large.”

He further reiterated his passion for domestic tourism, a firm indigenous stronghold and his belief in youth empowerment. He implored Media firms, NGO’s and Private Organisations to be a part of this great creative idea.

In appreciation of the warm acceptance to be a part of the production, Olayinka Edu presented a gift to Oba Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo, who acknowledged it by making Plantinum Entertainment a part of his one year anniversary coronation as Alara of Ilara Epe.
